These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the myFamilySpace mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Hermann Cardenas (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Parents and guardians may add children to their family group; a child’s participation is governed by the Children’s Privacy (COPPA) section of our Privacy Policy. By creating an account, you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal authority to agree to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

myFamilySpace is a family organization platform that provides tools for scheduling, chore management, shared shopping lists, family messaging, location sharing, and related features. The Service is intended for personal, non-commercial family use.

3. SMS Messaging Terms

By providing your mobile phone number and opting in to SMS notifications, you agree to the following:

  • You consent to receive automated text messages from myFamilySpace at the number you provide, including reminders, alerts, and RSVP confirmation links
  • Message frequency varies based on your family’s activity and notification preferences
  • Message and data rates may apply based on your carrier plan
  • To opt out at any time, reply STOP to any SMS from myFamilySpace. You will receive a confirmation and no further messages will be sent
  • For help, reply HELP or contact support@myfamilyspace.app
  • Opting out of SMS does not cancel your account; push notifications and in-app alerts remain available

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@myfamilyspace.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create in the Service (events, lists, messages, photos). By submitting content, you grant myFamilySpace a limited license to store and display that content to you and your family members as part of operating the Service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any content you upload.

Location sharing features are strictly opt-in. You control when your location is shared and with whom. We do not share location data with advertisers or third parties outside your family group. See our Privacy Policy for details.

You may delete your account at any time from the app’s Profile settings or our account deletion page. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. You use the Service at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, myFamilySpace shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the applicable courts of the United States.
