Delete your account & data
You’re always in control of your data. Here’s how to delete your myFamilySpace account and everything associated with it.
From the app
Open myFamilySpace, tap your picture at the top of Apps to open your Profile, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account. The app shows what will happen to each of your families before anything is deleted. Type DELETE to confirm, and your account is deleted right away. Copies in our backups expire within 30 days.
What happens to your family
A family that still has another adult in it stays. If you were its only admin, the person who’s been in it longest becomes an admin, and the family keeps its shared places, calendar, lists, chores, album photos and family documents. A family with no other adult is deleted with everything in it, along with any Kids mode accounts that belong only to that family.
By email
If you can’t access the app, email support@myfamilyspace.app from the address on your account with the subject “Delete my account.” We’ll verify your identity and complete the deletion within 30 days.
Parents & guardians: you can request review or deletion of a child’s data in your family at any time by emailing support@myfamilyspace.app. See our Privacy Policy for details on children’s data.
What gets deleted
Your profile, your posts, comments and messages, your location history and drives, your private lists, documents and contacts, and any SMS preferences. Some records are kept where the law requires, such as payment records for tax purposes — see our Privacy Policy. Opting out of SMS alone does not delete your account — see Messaging Policy.
